Pedicure –
After the hands, the thought of feet comes naturally. Taking care of your feet is very important along with taking care of your hands. Feet are an important part of the body which carries the weight of the body throughout life and supports a person in many ways. The thought of feet is completely outside the purview of Indian women. That being said, there are some reasons for this. Either your dress is messy. Saree Punjabi dresses are such dresses that only the legs are visible. In the case of Indian women, the complete neglect and carelessness of the feet is more visible.
All weight in the human body is borne on the feet. So it is important to take care of the feet. Relationship 1/3 of the body weight is carried by the feet. But above the ankle it bears the entire weight of the body. And it is the major joint in the body. It is also very strong. Dhopra joint is very strong. Because ‘figure’ means the thigh bone is the largest bone in the body.
It is supported only by this joint of dhopara. Almost all women tend to be more obese in the hips and thighs. In such a case, excess diet and less exercise results in fat in this area. Eventually it thickens and starts to look untidy. As a result, the shape and balance of the entire body deteriorates.
The skin on the feet has very few oil glands compared to other parts of the body. Due to this, the feet become very dry both in summer and winter. The bloom on it decreases. And the skin of the soles was as if it was split. If you take proper care of your feet, the results are immediately visible on your face. If the feet are tired, tired, the face also looks calm and dull. For a fresh, beautiful face, feet should be taken care of. Those who have very dry feet should apply a light hand of any body cream or oil on their feet after taking a bath every day.
Varicose veins on the legs, cellulitis or swelling on the ankles and knees can cause two or three disorders. These defects are created and aggravated by over-diet and under-exercise. Those who have to work standing continuously. In their case, this nuisance is created in the foot. The first remedy for all these doshas is weight loss and light exercise.
Exercising, overeating and lack of exercise can lead to flabby feet. Very little movement of the legs also causes the legs to become thick and unkempt. For this, it is very important to exercise the entire body from the waist down.
1) Leg-mobilizing exercises such as jumping jacks, jumping rope, marching in place, or cycling are helpful.
2) Bending down from the waist or doing a movement that stretches the entire body is also a good exercise. Extending the arms to the left or right and bending down with a distance between the two legs or lifting one leg to the waist to the left and the other leg to the waist to the right.
3) A very simple exercise for knees and ankles is to stand with your legs to the sides, lift your body slightly on your knees and try to sit as low as you can with your knees to your sides. Do not let the balance go. This type of exercise gives exercise to every joint in the foot.
Taking care of the soles –
1) First with a good brush or with a pumice stone at the time of daily bath. Or add soles before going to bed at night. At the same time, it is necessary to clean and soften the hard parts on the edges of the feet, toes and feet by rubbing them well.
2) Soles and whole feet should be massaged with good time or gel.
3) Apply powder while wearing closed shoes and then wear tight slippers or closed sandals.
4) Steps should be taken at least once a week –
a) Put salt in warm water in a tub and keep feet immersed in that water for some time. Then keep it in cold water, then wipe your feet with a towel and apply a little cream on them and sleep with your feet at an angle of 45° with pillows.
b) Adding a little aromatic substance like lavender oil in warm water and soaking the feet in that water will remove all fatigue and fatigue.
C) The dryness of the skin was reduced if the feet were squeezed in lemon water and kept in that water.
d) In summer, if the feet are itching, wipe the feet with spirit. And then apply powder on it 2-3 times a day.
E) Apply curd and vinegar together for very dry feet.
f) Apply a thin layer of this liquid as a pack on feet, soles, toes at night. Keep it for 15-20 minutes and then wash it off. Vinegar softens the white scaly skin. Vinegar cools the feet.
g) Applying henna to the soles of the feet cools the body. In summer, eye fire occurs. Hands and feet feel hot. At that time, the above-mentioned treatments cool the hands, feet, and eyes.
What is a Pedicure ?
Pedicure is the scientific method of taking care of feet and toenails, using all the tools or items required for manicure. The process of pedicure is almost the same. Toenails are slightly harder than fingernails. So they have to be immersed in hot water while doing pedicure. Keeping the feet in hot water with a little soap for about 5-10 minutes softens the toenails. Do the same as all manicures.
Materials needed for Pedicure –
1) Chair – The client should sit in such a way that the feet are immersed in the water and the client feels comfortable.
2) Stool – for operator to sit.
3) Real cloth – to hold the client’s feet.
4) – to wipe client’s hands and feet.
5) Gown – to put on the client.
6) Apron – to put on the operator.
7) Foot scraper – to scrub the client’s feet, to remove loose skin.
8) Nail brush – for brushing feet, brushing nails.
9) Nail file – for shaping nails.
10) Orange Stick – To remove dirt from nails.
11) Cuticle softener cream– to remove cuticles on the sides of the nails.
12) Cotton – for wiping nails, removing nail paint.
13) Hydrogen Peroxide – to clean the dirt inside the nails.
14) Nail cutter – To remove nails.
15) Nail Paint Remover – To remove nail paint.
16) Cuticle Cutter – To cut the cuticle near the nails.
17) Nail Cleaner – To clean feet and nails.
18) Pusher – to push back the screen near the nails.
19) Astringent / Dettol – Use as an antiseptic in case of some wounds.
20) Nail polish – to apply on the nails.
21) Massage cream – for massage.
22) Basecoat/ Topcoat – To apply on the nails.
23) Tray/Trolley – To keep all materials.
Pedicure Massage –
In a pedicure, a foot massage is done after cleaning the entire foot and toenails. The main purpose of foot massage is to increase blood circulation and help in reducing the pains in the feet. While massaging the feet, it has to be done well. While massaging, your hand should be uniform and the pressure of the massage should be just enough to be tolerated by the client. Do not massage in the wrong way.
Methods Pedicure Massage –
1) First rub hand and body lotion or moisturizer massage cream on the hands and apply the cream to the client’s entire legs from the knees down. After applying the cream, first massage the soles of the feet while massaging with both thumbs in a circular motion. And then massage the toes in the same way. Do each movement three times. Toes should be massaged clockwise and anti-clockwise.
2) After that massage should be done from the ankle to the knee with the thumbs of both hands in a downward and circular motion. Do this three times.
3) Take the client’s leg in your left hand and press the pressure point from the ankle to the knee with the right hand using the thumb and the finger next to the big toe. Do this three times.
4) Hold your feet in your left hand and rotate your feet clockwise and anti-clockwise while holding your toes with your right hand.
5) Do a ‘clapping movement’ after the complete massage. And then take the nail paint remover on the cotton and wipe the toenails and apply the nail paint.
Care to be taken while doing Pedicure –
1) Do not do pedicure if you have nail diseases. Seek medical advice.
2) Pedicure should not be performed on a client with skin diseases.
3) If the client has diabetes, wooden utensils should be used instead of metal utensils.
4) After completing the pedicure treatment, the cream should be properly wiped off the client’s soles and powder should be applied to the soles. Otherwise the cream may cause the client’s foot to slip while walking.
5) Materials used for treatment should be washed with disinfectant water. And all used cosmetics should be closed. The place where the treatment is done should be properly wiped.
6) Proper care of these things can prevent infection in the parlor. A well-done pedicure is a symbol of elegance or sophistication.
